wet night in the solent

Well again the weather man said the rain would arrive in the early hours of Saturday, wrong! it arrived late evening Friday, so I got wet.

Arrived at my mark for 7pm, bait was Lugworm and Ragworm, the targets Flounder and Bass.

After an hour the first bite came and in came my target, a 12oz Flounder.



The drizzle started, but I persevered and a while later my second Flounder arrived, 14oz, getting bigger.



Well the rain got heavier the tide was flooding nicely, but the expected bites didn't arrive. At 10pm whilst on the phone to the Mrs I get a pull down and then slack line, and another flounder came in this one going 1lb 2oz.



Well I stuck it out in the wet till 1am with the tide ebbing fast and only a small pout in 3 hours I called it a night.
Off out tonight for another go.

At least you gave it a go. Lots would have gone home well befor you did or not even ventured out(like me )Better luck with the weatehr tonight

As ian says, at least you got out, it has not been fit here,unless you are wearing ultra thearmal wetsuits LOL
