Report Colwyn Bay Fishing Forum Meet May 2010
a real shame more couldn't make it, because the camp site was ace and so was the weather.
i got there early friday morning and pumped some fresh worm for every one that was fishing the night tide.
i only had a few whiting all weekend but others had more Declan and lewis (daves son and brother) out fished me evry time, two good young lads a pleasure to have met and fished with.
all in all a top weekend in great company as always.
here's the pics I took
Colwyn bay low water
i fished the dinner time tide not a bite.
me and frank went out for some tea and abit of a recky this mark court my eye.
landudno at low tide.
another mark we fished saturday
Declan with a whiting
lewis with a woffer
some pics of the campsite
i can't remember the name of this place we fished
a few pics of around the site

Good to see you had a good time. Declan is definately getting the knack of this fishing lark.
Iwish I could get away from the farm.

Re: Report Colwyn Bay Fishing Forum Meet May 2010
Had a great weekend and so did Declan and Lewis i would like to thank everyone who attended and took the time to help Declan and lewis they really enjoyed the weekend
this is the first time they have held there catch without gloves
Friday night Lewis caught 6 whiting his first bite resulting in a double header Declan caught 2 whiting and i also had 2 whiting.
Saturday daytime everyone blanked
Saturday evening i had a snap off and didn't bother to set up again.Declan got a rockling and not long after his first doggie (which we think may have been a huss) Lewis was heading for a blank when he went mitering Ron for his secret ingredient so with his worms now filled with this out it go's again and he got the fish he wanted a doggie. When lewis retrieved his lead there was my line wrapped around it so we pulled it in and there was a rockling on it.
After what was a really good weekend with fish to go with it i'm already getting earache to go and fish and llandudno again just for the doggies.
Cheers Dave

hi guys
I had a brilliant week end in wales at the meet got there about tenish on sat and set up the van shopin then ready for sat night's fishing
the first venue was llandudno the beach was nearly full with locals when we got there
i didn't get much time to take any photo's i was busy with the dog fish which i caught plenty of the catch for the night was 5 dogfish 2 codlin 4 whiting a good night's fishing
Day two
Sunday no fishing through the day so i took off into town for a few hours then got ready for the night fish again some of the guys got ready to go which just left jonty, frank, and myself on an extra days fishing we tryed ross-on-sea just by the the pier i had a go on the beach whilst we where waiting for the tide and pulled in a pin head whiting and for the rest of the night it was more or less the same of took back two whiting one from jonty and mine. right i said to frank let's get the BBQ going mate. well lol
i left him to it and came back later IT WAS TO MUCH FOR HIM lol
Day Three
Monday wake up to another brill day but again decided to just fish the night tide started at 11.00 with i think jonty showing the way and ended up with about 13 whiting
on sunday jonty was up at 7.15 for a walk with the dog
it looked really good till he told me where he had been for a walk.
This Place has now been named JONTY'S HILL
A brill meet would go there again its a good central place for base camp well done
frank a good w/end

Re: Report Colwyn Bay Fishing Forum Meet May 2010
Colwyn Bay came up trumps again a fantastic 4 days / nights fishing the camp Dinarh Hall was right in the middle of every where we wanted to fish short distance to every mark we were made to feel very welcome nice clean toilets and lovely hot showers ( FREE ) . As the Mackeral and Bass had not come in yet the day time fishing was poor but at night it was a different story Jonty is now known as King of the Whitting he just couldnt stop catching them 9 Sunday night and 14 Monday night. Myself and Ron had our share but nowhere near Jonty's. It was great to see Dave again and he bought along Declan & Lewis they had a great weekend and also caught loads...
The Camp
Friday night we were on the sea front at Rhos on Sea
This Whitting was having a nibble at Jonty's finger
Jonty's Doggie
Everyone was catching fish just didn't have time to take all the photos
My Double header
Saturday Night we hit Llanduno beach
A Doggie and a Bull Huss double header
Sunday Night we fished near the pier at Colwyn Bay
Then Jonty started we just could'nt keep up with him
Monday Night we went back to Rhos on Sea
My Bed and was I glad to get into it every night
BBQ time and time to reflect on a great weekend thanks to everyone who turnd up it was good seeing you all again ... What a great bunch of lads...its nice to know you all
