Two windy nights
Had planned to fish Friday, but health wasn't good but managed to get out Saturday with two mates, with heavy rain and very strong winds headed for Cowes, as its possible to watch the rods from the vehicle, Squid, mackerel, lug and rag were the baits, despite all our efforts I was the only one to catch, two small pout.
Monday and with some worm left over had 3 hours on my local beach, not a great venue, so it was more of a bait using exercise than anything, but in 3 hours of heavy rain and gale force winds I did manage 5 school Bass and a pout, the bass weren't big, the biggest just legal around 1.5lb but at least it was some sport.
Still another month to go and the ray hunt will start in earnest. Happy days.
