Town quay /los 17/03/09
Arrived at town quay about 6 pm with bassmanrob , plans were to fish over low water here then move on to lee on solent , surpringsingly the quay is nearly back to her formal self , bite a chuck from pout pin whiting and school bass , very good news indeed things are at last picking up , had a bash at live bating but no takers there .
Packed up at around 11 pm , and headed off to lee on solent , baits were rag , squid , sandeel , mackeral and spratts , cracking night with no wind and flat calm seas , bites from the off again with double shots of whiting and school bass mainly falling to rag baits , a couple of big hits missed for me and rob , but all in all a cracking night with plenty of action , all be it small stuff , makes a change from sat there watching motionless rod tips , faith is now restored and depression lifted , at last some action , cracked on untill 6am then packed up , with a frost set from about 3 am , was feeling a tad cold on the digits , wont be long for the monsters
