Update on last night at Marine Beach
Well we had a good night out, got 3 Eels ( 10-12 in long ), a Plaice ( 10 in long ) a whiting so large it amazed me ( 5 in lol ) and a Bass ( 12 in ) , apart from one eel that garotted itself they were all released safely, all caught on fresh black lug we got half hour before we started ( cheers Birdy ), the promised rain held off and we caught the last tram home, as we was walking to the tramstop we met a group who had just finished their drowning session, they were fishing 2 day old black and makky along with squid, their catch was a small Codling and nothing else, mind you, you dont fish with squid of the ferry beach, not if you want to catch anything. ( according to Birdy )
so that makes this years species totals so far for Alison and me as follows
Alison, Weever, Plaice, Bass, Flounder, Whiting, Eel.
Tink ( lil 'ol me ) Weever, Plaice, Bass, Flounder, Eel, and a Dab
not gonna count all the flaming crabs that ate the bait and got hooked
not bad considering we both started fishing in March
( thanks to Birdys knowhow and patient tuition
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOVE PUMPING ON THE BEACH WITH THE MISSUS
she lets me keep them in the fridge then lol

Even tho we wern't ' hauling ' them in we really had a good night, dinner plate size would have been better but not complaining, warm night, no rain, fish on the line, fished the tide in and out, got the most as the tide was receeding.
sure as hell beats staring at the goggle box all night

Re: Update on last night at Marine Beach
Nice one Tink. I haven't fished Marine Beach at all and would have loved to have been there last night only for other commitments. Maybe one day I will catch you for a session there.
