Chriss wrote :- "well wednesday the 12th 09 we took the boat over to jontys so we can work on her in the dry in his garage."
Are you sure it wasn't for those delicious sausage and bacon barms!!!!!!
There's certainly some work gone into her so far, she's going to look great when she hits the water.

Re: MEERKAT ....... the birth!
Good work Steve. I got the oppertunity yesterday, to view the work completed so far on Meerkat. Bearing in mind I saw her from the time she arrived in Lancashire, the transformation has been quite amazing. A bit of work to carry out inside the forward cuddy, but the donkey work is behind you for now. Everyone who has worked on her can be justifiably proud. The floor is like walking on concrete now, a big difference to just a few weeks ago! Chris picked up a big box of useful bits from Andy (scooby2) yesterday which will prove handy and save a lot of money. If the final paint finish matches the quality of the rest of the work she'll look and feel like a new boat. A big push now could see her ready for the Winter season.

Re: MEERKAT ....... the birth!
wow guys you have been busy lil bees!!! really enjoyed reading through all the stuff and the pics are great too!!
just one thing lads....if Kaz is gonna be fishing on her too (plus she has put up with you lot burning her kettle out and the no doubt smell of bacon sarnies) then she really should be entitled to call your lil boat Lady Kaz, and the only colour that should be considered would be whatever her fave colour is....let's hope that it's PINK
good on ya all, wtg and good luck with the rest of it!!
Andy

Re: MEERKAT ....... the birth!
well Andy (Welsh Wheels ) the only thing pink that will ever be on the boat is kaz (but Steve is trying to come out so you never know)
thank you every body for your kind words
the truth of it is when i decided to put the boat up for boat share the 1st 2 people i asked was jonty and Steve.
they did not Even have to think about it the answer was yes!!
and from that point on its gone from strength to strength and we have all done work that we are good at with help from the other 2 owners and more.
if you have friends like TC and Andy (scooby2) you will never go wrong (a big thank you guys)
my advice to any one putting a boat up for boat share is, its not about the money its about friendship so make sure to choose them wisely and know your Friends.
