24th - 26th fishing Seaford, Newhaven
Hi all, well I went fishing this weekend, first I went to Normans Bay on the other side of Eastbourne to pump some bait, I ended up giving up as it was so difficult I forgot to take pictures!
Saturday morning I went and fished from the beach at seaford:
I fished there with Ragworm tipped with squid, and to my surprise I pulled in a mackrel?
Once I caught that I put on mackrel feathers and got another 2 on the first cast but then nothing else, I didn't stick with it as all I had was my multiplier reels and it was hard work.
That night we went back to Newhaven and fished the channel where the ferry goes, theres always water there so it can be fished 24/7 tho the better fish appear with high tide.
This guy must of been lost, not suprising though as he was drinking an awful lot of sea water
We continued fishishing and my son had a couple of pin whiting and a couple of bigger ones and a crab
the ferry was so close you could knock on the side of it!
I had 5 whiting a couple of small ones and a couple of bigger ones
The next morning we awoke to brilliant sunshine so I took a few pics before heading home.
The ferry leaving
The wall where people fish
The most popular spot is here where people can cast into the sea where the ferry is, and it is the most productive spot.
The view from the other end of the car park
The pebble beach at that end
Some one there too spinning for Mackrel
The view behind
A few more random pics of Newhaven harbour area
Thanks for looking sorry theres not many pictures of fish, maybe next time
