weekend ray hunt
Friday evening I arrived at yaverland for 7.30pm, sandeel and mackerel was the bait and rays the target, well to keep it short, not even a pout rattle and by 3am I'd had enough.
Saturday Mick and I went to Chale and was set up by 7pm, same target.
On his second cast Mick landed this painted ray of 3lb 9oz.
He followed this with a couple of doggies and a Pout.
Eventually a small nod heralded a doggie, first of the year for me.
It then went quiet we stuck it out till 2am then as we started to pack up Mick landed another Pout and me another nice Turbot.
So the Ray drought for me continues, will have another go during the week.

Go for Ray & catch a Turbot, you wouldn't find me complaining.
