Me and Manic_Muppet fished Filey Brigg yesterday from 9.30am to 3.30pm - not a whiff.

We tried various combinations of bait, lug, squid, mussell, macky but nothing doing. Lovely day for fishing, warm, calm sea, but no fish.

You are a bit to early in the year to fish there
it starts fishing there in mid june with crab as bait
try at the very end 2 before low water keep on the move follow the tide out
cast to the left side DO NOT fish ther on rought seas or we will never see you again
expect to lose a lot of tackle i plan to lose a lead a cast

Just to let you no i live most of my life in Scarborough
you will need a :-
good heavy duty rod
30lb line
20+ leads
20 + crabs
roton bottom
In summer on the rock marks crab is the only bait that will catch

It can fish very well

AT high water you can fish at the back of the ladder

Should have actually said "to the Brigg side of the 2 escape ladders on a cliff ledge". Also lost a couple of rigs. Fish may or may not have been scared by 4 loads of divers who arrived on inflatables mid afternoon. Of all the area of sea they had to anchor within 200 yards of us
