Re: blank x2 at saltburn and skinny
Not fished off there for a few years now use to get on there quite a bit at one time, got to know an old boy in one of the houses there... always let us park outside his, lost contact with him tho as we started to fish mulgrave and runswick a lot.
I did hear they was going to spend some money on the jetty and make it safe, last time i was on there was just after that lad fell down the shaft, broke his back i think, been another one since then tho 2 or 3 years back.
As you say great fishing at one time, we've had some good bags of cod off there, but could never connect with any of the good sprags they use to get off there.

Re: blank x2 at saltburn and skinny
It's the same with all the piers and structures now in a right state some of them, seems to be plenty of money found for the south coast tho.
Not been able to get out for a while but when up your way again i'll give you a shout, we don't tend to go up much further than runswick now, generally fish around whitby early on then after christmas when they start to move onto the sand we like to get in rhb and scarborough marks until the beaches start to fish.
Do you get up around the tyne and newbiggin much?
