Around the Island in 80 minutes

With reports of a few cod showing from Brighstone and allegedly a 21lb fish the best, my mate and I arrived to find a very big surf running, still undaunted we were set up by 7pm 20 minutes later we were packed up. Lots of weed was dragging the line down into the surf, though I did manage a rockling, so it was off to the other side of the Island where we set up at seaview.

We'd had a mixed bag here the week before so was hopeful of a fish or two.
Sure enough we didn't wait long and we both bagged a couple of good sized whiting, this continued till 3am when we called it a night, total for the night my mate had 5 good sized whiting and 4 Pout, me 1 pout, 1 rockling and 15 whiting, first time I've found a shoal of whiting on the island as we don't normally get them here, so all in all a good night, just a shame we couldn't stay at Brighstone.
