Can I fish on any beach anywhere?
Just wondering what laws if any apply to beach fishing. I have looked on various sites but it seems to me ya can fish on any beach. Unless signs say otherwise. Is this true?

most beaches you can apart from some holiday firms that have there own beaches
and holiday towns have some out of bounds for the fisherman in the day time nights are ok
and some peirs are closed to the fishing when busy holiday times and take extra care on the nudist beach jonty

Re: Can I fish on any beach anywhere?
Pretty much any beach, anywhere, any time.
Some local authorities have bye-laws preventing or limiting fishing from beaches and harbour walls, and most piers have fishing rights owned by clubs so you might need to join or buy a day ticket.
Best bet is to check first, and if it's a beach you don't know, have a look at low water.
You don't want to lose a lot of gear chucking and hoping there are no snags.
Biggest thing to be aware of when beach fishing is the tidal flows and beach gulleys.
You don't want to end up with no escape route when the incoming tide circles behind you because you didn't spot the gulleys on the way down to low water!

All the good suggestions have been posted
another idea is to look at the members and see if anyone is close to where you would like to fish and send them a PM (private message) and ask them if any beaches near them are off limits

Might have been a few years ago, all you get now is blokes in mini skirts sobering up & wondering how they are going to get back to Sunderland after a stag night.
