Re: report Anchorsholme, Thornton Cleveleys Tuesday, 27 april 2010
Sorry Chris, i missed your post otherwise i would have joined you, i was somewhere else Flattie bashing got 4 Plaice and 1 Flounder ( couple of takers ), i am going to Anchorshome tonite, i let you know what we ( the boss and Myself ) get.
and yes it was a loverly warm night wasnt it
Using that reel that you gave me with that Carbon rod i told you about has really changed my style of fishing
just noticed you posted it at 1608 Boss, thats why i missed it, i was on the way to Rossall digging by then, we then spent the evening up to the tide casting practice with Birdy teaching me how to use the reel with a carbon, i got up to 68yds ( ok laff ) but the reel was locked down as tight as it could go to really slow it down to prevent any birdsnests and will be loosened of as i get better and more confident using it, all of my casts were around the 60-68 yd distance and all were in a staight line and the targets were all in a 3 foot variance either side of one another ie ----------______-------- so not bad targeting for a first timer
