Friday is bass night
Friday evening at 8pm found me sitting on a solent beach, two bass rods ,one with a flattie rig on the other with a pennel rig and whole squid.
The weather was calm with no wind at all and surprisingly mild for the time of year.
It was quiet for the first hour then a good pull round on the worm and i landed a school bass around the pound mark.
Half hour later and a big slack line bite produced this better fish of 4lb 7oz to whole squid.
Bites were thin on the ground but by 4am I had managed 8bass and a small flounder so I called it a night.
